We were on a guided tour of the Sky City of Acoma Pueblo, about an hour drive west of Albuquerque, New Mexico. As I gazed beyond the adobe houses toward the Acoma holy mountain of Enchanted Mesa, I saw the approaching thunderstorm, trailing heavy rain. Our guide told us to hasten off the mesa to our shuttle bus, but in ten minutes we were drenched.
