Welcome to these new and newer members of the Simsbury Camera Club. This page is an attempt to help us get to know these individuals better and to welcome them to the fold. (I apologize for paraphrasing and abbreviating some of this information in the interest brevity)
Lynnelle Hulse
Experience Level: I have dabbled with photography since a was a kid and took photography classes in High School to improve my technic. I have continued to enjoy photography and capturing special people, moments and places throughout my life but am a bit of a novice regarding some of the newer digital tools and technologies.
Current Equipment: I have mostly been capturing photos with my iPhone but have experience using Nikon Film and Digital Cameras.
Post Processing software: Just starting to learn and explore post processing using Lightroom.
Photographic interests: I love taking travel and nature photographs and occasionally taking portraits. I am looking forward to trying my hand at some creative photography.
Kris Fallon
Experience Level: Veteran photographer interested in learning more and in sharing what I know.
Current Equipment: SONY DSC-HX90V, 30x Zoom (a sophisticated “point & shoot”). I find that I’m using my cell phone more frequently for capturing immediate shots
Post Processing software: Photoshop is my primary photo-editing software. I use it to crop, remove distracting elements, adjust exposure, color saturation, shadows/highlights, etc. I also often apply software filters for a more “painterly” effect. I would like to become more proficient in the use of layers.
Photographic interests: I love to travel in the US and overseas, recording my adventures. The seasons of New England are frequent subjects, from greenhouse tulips through the first snowfall. I am interested in capturing the strong curves and lines of architectural subjects, often in B&W. I do fewer portraits and prefer to capture people in candid situations. My photography is primarily compositional – I like to record what I see and improve it somewhat but I don’t use photo-editing to combine images or create new scenes (although I admire this type of creative photography).
