In a post of the YouTube Channel, The Photographic Eye, Alex discusses a philosophical concept that was intriguing to me; Shoot the Adjective Not the Noun. After watching this post the first of my photos I had taken that came to mind was of a sunrise at Nauset Beach on Cape Cod. I know, usually a sunrise conveys a sense of happiness. However, the tide pools in this photo conveyed to me a much different emotion than happiness. They give me a sense of confusion and a lack of direction; something stagnant. The whole photo, therefore, gives me a sense of the emotions of mourning with hope of a new beginning over the horizon.
